Engagement models

Accounting work is delivered in whichever form suits the client’s circumstances. Some entities require a team present at their premises; others prefer the function handled entirely from our office. Both are supported.

On-site

Staff are deputed to the client’s premises for an agreed number of days each week or month, working within the client’s systems and reporting to its management. This suits entities with an existing finance function that needs supervision or additional capacity.

Off-site

Records are transmitted to our office and the accounting function is maintained there, with periodic reporting back to management. This suits smaller entities and those without an in-house accounting team.

Scope of work

• Maintenance of books of account in accordance with applicable standards
• Preparation of financial statements, including schedules and notes
• Bank, vendor and customer reconciliations
• Payroll processing and related statutory computations
• Fixed asset register maintenance and depreciation computation
• Periodic management reporting, in a form agreed with management

Accounting system review

Where an entity is establishing or replacing its accounting function, we advise on chart of accounts design, the controls to be embedded at the point of entry, and the reports management will need on a recurring basis. The objective is a system that produces reliable information without depending on any single individual.

Staffing

Teams are constituted according to the requirement of each engagement rather than allocated from a pool. The composition is agreed with the client at the outset and remains stable through the engagement.
